An Open Window on Kansas Government

KansasOpenGov gives Kansans a clear look at how their state and local tax dollars are spent.  It's one of three transparency sites listed on the State of Kansas web site; the other two sites are the state's own KanView and US OpenGov operated by The White House.

Information is all obtained directly from official government sources.  While we have no control over any errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the raw data, we encourage users to
contact us with any questions or comments.  Please see
Data Notes for sourcing information and complete details on how the data was formatted.  KansasOpenGov is regularly updated with new information and currently contains the state’s checkbook and payroll register, payments received by retirees of state and local governments, school district revenue and spending per-pupil, school district carryover cash balances by fund and property tax information by county.

Our technology partner designed charts that dynamically build off the data based on user selection and created many other features to enhance the user experience, such as this interactive property tax map.
